Pendower Beach Hotel Regeneration – Public Exhibition Notification
Koha Architects are preparing detailed proposals for the regeneration and development of the former Pendower Beach House Hotel site, at Pendower Beach, in the Roseland Peninsula.
The proposals outline our aim for a sympathetic mixed-use regeneration of the site, to include a boutique hotel, restaurant, residential development, landscaping and environmental and public amenity improvements.
Prior to submitting a planning application, Koha Architects would very much welcome your views on these proposals.
In order to explain the proposals and to obtain the views of local residents and businesses, a public exhibition will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019, at the Shallikabooky Beach Hut cafe, Pendower Beach, Rocky Lane, Cornwall TR2 5LW. The exhibition will be open to the public from 12noon-8pm.
The proposals going on display have been informed by previous consultation and feedback involving local residents, elected members and representative groups, Cornwall Council and Cornwall Wildlife Trust, on how to bring new life to this site which has been derelict for more than a decade.
This has involved significant changes to previous proposals in response to wishes expressed locally to retain a hotel on the site and to ensure any development is in keeping with the special character and nature of this wonderful location.
Representatives from Koha Architects and the consultancy team will be in attendance at the exhibition to answer questions and feedback forms will be available for visitors to leave comments. Cornwall Wildlife Trust will also be in attendance to explain how the Trust is working with the project team with the aim of the proposed scheme becoming the first in Cornwall to achieve ‘Building with Nature’ accreditation.
We would be delighted if you were able to join us and we look forward to meeting you at the exhibition.
